About the Position: This positions serves as the Chief, Management and Manpower Division, Installation Management Command (IMCOM), responsible for administration of the Fort Bliss, TX, Garrison, Manpower Management, Equipment Management and Quality Management programs.

Duties

Holds responsibility for planning, formulating, justifying, coordinating, presenting, executing and reviewing management and manpower programs administered for Installation Management Command (IMCOM) at Fort Bliss. Serves as Chief, Management and Manpower Division, supervising the work of civilian employees engaged in program and management analysis functions. Supervises and conducts periodic and special manpower utilization and management reviews for Fort Bliss IMA diversified and complex missions. Provides staff assistance and advice to Fort Bliss functional elements for position management and classification.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is a Key position under the requirements of AR 690-11.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
