This position serves as a Tractor Operator within the Facilities Management Department of the Pine Ridge Service Unit in Pine Ridge, SD. The incumbent will provide maintenance of the grounds surrounding the Hospital, staff Quarters, Field Clinics and Health Stations. The incumbent reports to the Facility Manager.

Duties

Maintaining green, growing lawns, trees and shrubs around the hospital, clinics and employee quarters. Daily clean-up of trash, debris and dead tree limbs, spring and fall fertilizing of all lawn and sod area. Mowing of sod and lawn areas and pruning and trimming of trees and shrubs to maintain required length. Operation and maintenance of lawn sprinklers and tree/shrub drip irrigation system. Maintenance of roads and parking lots, repairing holes, sealing asphalt, patching concrete, removal of snow/ice from streets, sidewalks and parking lots.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the federal wage system job grading standards for WG-5700. No specific length of experience is required.
