This position serves as a Maintenance Worker within the Facilities Department of the Pine Ridge Service Unit in Pine Ridge, SD. The incumbent will assist higher grade employees in the performance of maintenance and repairs on the plumbing, carpentry, painting, and assist in other maintenance and laborer tasks. The position reports to the Maintenance Worker Supervisor

Duties

Assist and performs painting of exteriors and interior surfaces including walls, doors, frames, stair rails, and railings, including caulking. Assists and performs carpentry related duties with higher maintenance workers, which involves measuring, cutting and constructing or repairing wood or wood substitute items. Assist and performs plumbing duties which include: repair and installation of plumbing systems. Performs general maintenance and cleaning tasks as assigned and reports any problems or situations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the federal wage system job grading standards for WG-4700. No specific length of experience is required. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element. Failure to meet the screen out element will result in an ineligible rating.
