About the Position: Works under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works to outline overall program objectives and responsibilities and independently formulate plans, methods, policies, and procedures required to successfully accomplish the assigned mission within the scope of established directives and policies.

Duties

Serves as chief of a functional element with responsibilities for planning, directing, reviewing, and analyzing the day-to-day activities of the organization. Divides assigned programs into specific project and/or work areas based on overall program objectives. Plans and establishes overall objectives for assigned program areas by analyzing mission assignments. Establishes policy guidance for the organization based on higher echelon guidance. Directs the financial management functions of the division.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

  • Position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 25% of the time.
