About the Position: Serve as a Supply Technician for the US Army Medical Center of Excellence, Assistant Chief of Staff, Logistics/G4 with responsibility for independent accomplishment of different duties within the operation located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Duties

Perform functions indicated to fulfill ceremonial flag support duties. Properly prepares any flag material for shipment safeguards all materiel from loss or damage. Reviews/edits supply requisitions based on what should be replenished or initial issue. Performs administrative skills such as clerical, typing, filing of correspondence, and answering of office phones.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes purchasing a wide variety of goods and services for the organization; utilizing an automated systems to extract purchase requests and place orders; maintaining records of purchases for audit trail purposes; performing maintenance on equipment maintained by the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementManages and Organizes InformationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
