This is a Washington National Guard Title 5 Excepted Service Technician position: PROGRAM ANALYST Location: Washington United States Property and Fiscal Office CAMP MURRAY, Washington 98430 Army National Guard Units Appointment Type: Permanent, excepted service Advertised as: Title 5 Announcement may be used to fill one or more vacancies. Requirements

  • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
  • This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
  • Position requires ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
  • May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
  • Duties and responsibilities may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission.
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • Proficient in logistics standard army management information system (STAMIS).
  • Position designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Designation will not exceed 14 days unless otherwise approved by the TAG.
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license for the state in which they live or are principally employed

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education, or training which has provided application of practices, theories, techniques, and methods of management. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing policies and procedures of local management. ***Current Active Profile in Global Combat Supply System - Army (GCSS-Army) prefered.

Education

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
