Duties

As an Interdisciplinary (General Engineer, Architect, or Civil Engineer), you will perform the following duties at the full performance level: Coordinate and monitor the development and maintenance of detailed information and data to assist in identifying and justifying projects for major new construction in support of assigned missions. Review and prioritize project priorities locally and across the Combined Arms Center (CAC). Complete submittal for technical adequacy and to ensure conformance with policy and compliance with public laws. Coordinate projects with interested general and technical staff section in CAC and other Commands or services. Recommend technical plans, objectives and undertakings which will provide more effective use of resources (funds, facilities, equipment, etc.). Execute budget decisions affecting long and short-range courses of action for assigned projects. Coordinate the planning, design, cost-engineering, construction and environmental considerations forprojects. Manage mission project milestones and budgets from the planning stage thru construction. Validate mission space and construction requirements and works with mission activities and garrison staff to develop consensus on solutions to real property planning/use issues. Review project progress, measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost. Serve as a building manager and space utilization manager for buildings to develop and accomplish complete projects related to construction, remodeling, alternation, repair and maintenance of buildings.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
