OIG is organized into seven operational units: the Immediate Office of the Inspector General, Office of the Counselor, Office of Audits and Evaluations, Office of Healthcare Inspections, Office of Investigations, Office of Management and Administration, and Office of Special Reviews. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 60 locations throughout the country.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Input time and attendance data into the WebTA system, and coordinates leave and other timekeeping issues with Division staff; maintains and keeps the information updated in OHI, OAE, or OMA SharePoint. Input data to MCI on Division workload, project status, staff training, and other areas; monitor and update the data on a routine schedule set forth by the Division Director. Assist in the issuance and distribution of draft and final reports, including e-mailing copies to reviewers, preparing transmittals, copying, binding, and mailing. Assist the Division Director with preparation and implementation of the operating budget including controls over expenditures for travel, training, and supplies. Help the Division Director with staff training duties including completion of maintenance of staff training records, payment for training, and coordination of training arrangements with vendors.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for a GS-09 is one year of experience at the GS-07 level or equivalent that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement which has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: - Providing administrative support such as drafting reports, sending office wide emails and tracking office workload; AND - Gathering, researching and providing technical information in response to inquiries; AND - Using computers and variety of software programs to carry out daily responsibilities; OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Attach a copy of transcripts or list of college courses designating semester or quarter hours earned to ensure proper credit. OR You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered as qualifying education. Specialized experience for a GS-11 is one year of experience at the GS-09 level, or equivalent that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: - Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, including populating information in SharePoint and creating/modifying views to provide just-in-time information for managers; AND - Gathering, researching and providing technical information in response to inquiries; AND - Developing and presenting training to a branch or division on office procedures. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Attach a copy of transcript or list of college courses designating semester or quarter hours earned to ensure proper credit. OR You may qualify on a combination of education and experience. This is creditable providing the combination consists of 100% of the requirement. Only graduate level education in excess of 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-11, you must have been at the GS-9level for 52 weeks. For the GS-9, you must have been at the GS-7 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
