You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT within the International Programs Maritime Operations Department.

Duties

You will interpret and analyze large volumes of data and statistics to ensure data integrity from the time the requirement is initiated until the requirement package is delivered to the customer. You will prioritze, monitor, and control requisition progress and throughput. You will provide Outfitting Support Activity (OSA) and follow-on support program recommendations, alternatives, impact statements, and performance criteria for management approval. You will maintain a database and associated files for documentation pertaining to the contractual award process for each FMS ROR case managed. You will develop and maintain a Repairable Items List (RIL) based on specific customer weapon system configuration. You will ensure the timely, quality delivery of all customer requisitions, and advises stakeholders when deadlines are at risk or cannot be met.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Compressive knowledge of IPS, OSA, and repair management principles, concepts, principles, regulations, practices and polices sufficient to manage an IPS spares plan, and make valid repair management, and OSA and follow-on support decisions; 2) Broad Knowledge of IPS related disciplines and how they apply to include provisioning, allowance development, configuration maintenance, requirements determination, repairables management, post production support and operation plan that assures needed spares; 3) Knowledge of the technical characteristics of assigned FMS weapon systems, equipment, and platforms including all aspects related to IPS necessary to develop tailored ILS square plans; 4) Broad knowledge of program management techniques and methods sufficient to establish short and long-term goals, objectives, and operational plans, to monitor and control execution, and to measure performance. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. 1) Compressive knowledge of IPS, OSA, and repair management principles, concepts, principles, regulations, practices and polices sufficient to manage an IPS spares plan, and make valid repair management, and OSA and follow-on support decision; 2) Broad Knowledge of IPS related disciplines and how they apply to include provisioning, allowance development, configuration maintenance, requirements determination, repairables management, postproduction support and operation plan that assures needed spareS; 3) Knowledge of the technical characteristics of assigned FMS weapon systems, equipment, and platforms including all aspects related to IPS necessary to develop tailored ILS square plans; 4) Broad knowledge of program management techniques and methods sufficient to establish short and long-term goals, objectives, and operational plans, to monitor and control execution, and to measure performance.
