About the Position: This position is located at 75TH Ranger Regiment HQ, Fort Moore, GA. The 75th Ranger Regiment is a unique Special Operations Force comprised of specially selected and well-trained Soldiers and DA Civilians. Our four-time volunteer force provides our Nation a range of capabilities Special Operations: conduct large-scale Joint Forcible Entry Operations and execute surgical Special Operations Raids around the globe in high-risk, uncertain, and politically sensitive areas.

Duties

Serve as the Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) and Financial Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA), performs a variety of analytical, administrative, budgetary and statistical duties which support 75th Ranger Regiment. Responsible for program oversight and management for the 75th Ranger Regiment Defense Travel System (DTS) program; total program oversight and management for the 75th Ranger Regiment Government Travel Charge Card. Provide total DTS and GTCC system support to 75th Ranger Regiment users. Create and update routing lists, assigns roles and permission levels, maintains traveler profiles, creates and maintains lines of accounting and budget shells, and provides first line helpdesk support. Plan, organizes, and conducts training for the users of DTS and the GTCC system, including formal training and individual training to improve the user’s effectiveness for command travelers, reviewers, and approving officials. Work in conjunction with the 75th Ranger Regimental HQs and battalion budget analysts to review and work the non-stock orders and payables monthly for all open documents related to travel. Maintain the Line of Accounting (LOAs) and associated LOAs with the travelers and their Approving Official (AO).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • This position requires some TDY travel up to 30% of the time.
  • HIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • One-year probationary period may be required, unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision SupportFinancial Management AnalysisFinancial Management Systems Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
