About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Army Cyber Command at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Duties

Develops comprehensive plans and strategies for the internal and external integration of day-to-day and long-range projects, actions, and activities requiring the involvement of the Command Group. Analyzes and evaluates issues that are typically diverse in nature, requiring input from MSEs activities and staff elements. Responsible for managing the operational schedule of the Command Group. Deals aggressively and authoritatively with the MSE staff and activities as well as with higher and lateral headquarters in programming the Command Group's long-range calendar to drive others to early specificity in planning. Ensures the most efficient and effective support is provided to the Command Group staff in the execution of their responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military External Affairs Division (MEAD) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.]
  • Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 5% of the time.
  • This is a Mission-Essential (ME) position and is occupied by an agency designated Emergency employee. You will be expected to report to or remain at your worksite during dismissal or closure situations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to Intelligence community cleared facilities and networks.
  • Periodically, especially during periods of crisis, will be required to work overtime/irregular hours.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by analyzing, evaluating and implementing administrative management guidance; manage and schedule calendar; draft and finalize correspondence for signature of executive personnel; use automated systems to coordinate/prepare travel arrangements; identify key issues/events and ensure proper protocol, details and logistics are coordinated; represent executive staff at conferences, trainings, or social events; and develop administrative policies and procedures. Maintaining the leader's calendar for conferences, briefings, hearings, speaking engagements, etc. Coordinating/creating/reconciling all travel and lodging for personnel through government wide travel system. Reconcile vouchers and payments. Experience with electronic calendar scheduling such as calendars used in Microsoft Outlook. Using Protocol to plan formal/informal functions. OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
