About the Position: This Administrative Officer is located at U.S. Army Operational Test Command, INTEL ELEC Warfare Test Directorate with duty location of Fort Huachuca, Arizona. (merit) This Term appointment NTE is also being announced under Job Opportunity Announcement SDSE240092722647.

Duties

Provide supervision to the organization in areas such as the Division's military and civilian personnel. Serve as a member of the Director's staff to include areas such as attending staff meetings at which the Director's programs, plans, and problems are discussed. Serve as a senior advisor to the leadership such as the Director and Technical Director. Oversee the planning of the annual operating budget/multi-year capital budget.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs.
  • Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
  • You will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • Overnight travel away from the duty station (Temporary Duty (TDY)) may be required 25% or less of the time.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11/NH-02). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
