Duties

Teach martial arts in a nationally recognized style following all safety, and belt promotion standards to student ages 4 to 18yrs. Be able to adjust age-appropriate classroom activities to meet the needs of the students. Manage a class of 8 or more student. Be responsible for and complete documentation daily to include but not exclusive to attendance, parent communication/ call logs. Communicate with management daily, following guidance, and training requirements. Know what materials are necessary to for students to have and have written lesson plans for classes.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/physical/background requirements for this position.
• Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations in accordance with current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
• A one year probationary period may be required (either initially or upon conversion, if applicable).
• Successful completion of annual training requirements within the prescribed time frame and demonstrated on the job competence is required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) Check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

1. Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate. 2. Be able to communicate in English (both written and verbal). 3. Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. 4. Possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis. Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors. 5. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease. 6. Demonstrated skill/evidence of competence in instructional area of Martial Arts. Preferred are those candidates who possess a Professional Certificates/Credentials; or Associates Degree or higher with 15 semester hours of college credit in the area of martial arts.
