You will serve as Emergency Manager, Marine Corps Installations West (MCI-W) in the Current Operations Branch, Assistant Chief of Staff G-3/5 Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. Duties

You will be responsible for all tasks and applicable reference requirements for Marine Corps Base, Camp[ Pendleton Installation and the Marine Corps Installations West Region You will be responsible for assisting CUROPS Branch and Operations and Plans Division (OPD) in all functions relating to protection of USMC Personnel and (EM) of USMC bases and stations in MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN area of operations (AO) You will provide guidance to MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN staff on EM operational missions and requirements within the region. You will coordinate EM training and exercises continually with MCIWEST-MCB CAMPEN staff, bases and stations. You will coordinate EM training and exercises with local, county and state Emergency Managers. You will attend meetings, conferences and seminars with local, county and state Emergency Manager to review and critique jointly held EM exercises. You will be responsible for reviewing contractor personnel work products to ensure compliance with performance work statements.

Requirements

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing, monitoring, and coordinating current and future training, coordinating and deconflicting policy and establishing procedures from multiple DOD references; Planning and Briefing at the senior leader level serving as the senior representative for Marine Corps Installations West conducting program reviews.
