Duties

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist and primary logistics planner in the Support Operations. You will plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and integrate logistical plans, programs, policies, and procedures for operational logistics support and sustainment within the Battalion. You will ensure future planning operations are sustainable and synchronized within the battalion. You will coordinate, integrate, and synchronize sustainment-planning activities. You will be responsible for logistics estimates (organic and contractor), participation in organization planning groups (OPGs) concerning logistics planning efforts, and ongoing updates to existing plans.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 30% of the time.
• Incumbent employee will participate in training exercises under field conditions in CONUS or OCONUS in austere conditions.
• Designated Emergency Essential Position: This position is considered essential to support Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization.
• Failure to remain in this position may result in separation for the efficiency of the Federal Service (5 USC, Ch.752).
• Incumbent may be required to take part in readiness exercises and training.
• Incumbent must meet requirements specified on SF78, Certificate of Medical Examination, for position at overseas/deployed location and receive immunizations appropriate to the overseas location.
• Emergency Essential employees must be exempted from military mobilization or recall obligations by being placed in the Standby Reserve or other appropriate action.
