About the position: This position will be assigned to the Information, Tickets, and Tours Office on Robins AFB, GA. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Subject to an irregular tour of duty.

Duties

Serves as the subject matter expert in all aspects of the Information, Tickets and Travel (ITT) section. Responsible for the economic and efficient operation of the ITT section. Plans, organizes, and coordinates the details of recurring and nonrecurring activities and special events, to include commercial reservation and ticketing services for airlines, hotels, cruises, tour packages, and other travel related services. Develops group tours designed to stimulate and sustain the interests of participants. Provides clear and accurate guidance and coordination of leisure travel information and referral services for both individual and group customers. Schedules group tours and other related activities, ensuring maximum participation. Operates cash registers and computerized point of sale system and reservation software program; accepting cash, checks and credit cards for merchandise and services. Responsible for change fund, cashier ticket inventory and daily receipts. Balances cash reports and prepares bank deposits. Prepares daily and weekly financial reports. Accepts reservations for shows and takes registration and money for tours. Stocks brochure racks and keeps storage room organized. Answers telephones. Gives written and verbal information to customers. Assist with verifying weekly and monthly inventories; reports results to Air Force Central Ticket Office (AFCTO); enters results into inventory control system. Creates and updates vouchers. Receives tickets on computerized tracking systems. Performs a variety of office duties to include route and file correspondence. Works on a computer daily. Assists in preparation of ITT NAF operating budgets. Assists in development of ITT marketing material. Reports directly to Director of Arts & Crafts/ ITT/Outdoor Recreation. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess a valid state driver's license.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: General office skills to include typing and filing is preferred. Must have knowledge of cash register, cash handling procedures, bank deposits, and simple cashier reports. Experience in conducting and documenting inventories is highly desirable. Knowledge of computers is very helpful. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to read, write and speak English and communicate effectively.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
