About the Position: Performs economic and management analyses of Environmental Compliance and Natural Resource Conservation programs in the functional areas of investigations, surveys planning, and environmental management.

Duties

Develop and routinely update installation regulations, SOPs, and other implementing guidance to supplement and clarify. Plans and organizes studies on analysis of problems and development of procedures. Oversees all Service Contract Approval requests for the Environmental Division. Knowledge Financial Management to develop the organization's budget and track expenditures. Devises alternatives and recommendations for the improvement of organization utilization of resources. Operates a motor vehicle to visit work areas to gather and evaluate programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position requires employee to obtain and maintain a valid vehicle operator's license.
  • One year probationary period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience service which includes: 1) collect and compile data for projects and management of plans for the improvement of utilization and management of resources. 2) Conduct annual environmental compliance evaluations in the assessment areas of the Environmental Performance Assessment System (EPAS) process. and 3) Develop and maintain the Environmental Division budget. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirements using experience alone - no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Environmental Assessment and Data AnalysisEnvironmental Document PreparationEnvironmental Project and Program Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
