The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative , personnel management, and data systems technical support to the Squadron and secondary, ancillary test administrative technical support to subordinate organization flights, elements and personnel.

Duties

Responsible for squadron orderly room duties to include office automation support and personnel functions. Lead squadron and detachment administrative and personnel management support assistant and unit automation information systems and office supports. Performs various project financial costs estimates, projections and budgetary functions. Researches, compiles and prepares standard and non-standard program and technical information and financial information relating to program progress status from source documents, files and reports. Provide assistance to the program manager and flight commander in gathering data for program documentation to nclude milestone review documentation, acquisition strategy plans, program management plans, etc. Requirements planner and program scheduler.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=Group-Standards. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes serving as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs to include but not limited to task management, cyber security liaison, Government Travel Card program, Defense Travel System administrator, drug demand reduction program, health care program, fitness program, Government Purchase Card program, safety program, Automated Data Processing Equipment accounts, security program, supply program, civilian timecard program etc. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. AND FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-­grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of an extensive body of test program support and management procedures, rules, guidelines, and precedents, and DoD and Air Force administrative and personnel instructions. 2. Ability to analyze, verify, and correlate data, and locate, assemble, and compose information for reports and technical correspondence. Knowledge of various office automation information systems and software programs, tools, and techniques to support program requirements and produce a variety of documents such as reports, spreadsheets, charts and graphs. 4. Knowledge of basic quality improvement team building skills and process improvement techniques to assist in the implementation and training of quality improvement programs. 5. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and compile financial and personnel data products. 6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a vide variety of audiences PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
