You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Public Works Business Line of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will assist senior Transportation Specialists in lifecycle management of vehicles and equipment within the Public Works Business Line. You will plan, coordinate, and implement new processes using technical competence and judgement to resolve problems and provide sound transportation management advice. You will monitor data in Transporation Maximo and other performance management systems. You will establish performance metrics and develop statistical/narrative performance measurement criteria to monitor, manage and substantiate the effectiveness of the Product Line products and services. You will assist Senior Transportation Specialist in budget preparation and execution.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting in the development of all requirements for all vehicles and equipment to include lifecycle management, acquisition methods, inventory replacement and disposal processes; 2) Assisting with Transportation equipment procurement and monitoring fuel management and the use of Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Alternative Fuels; 3) Performing statistical analysis as required on command performance indicators and metrics to determine trends, corrective actions, and predict future requirements or process/execution changes; 4) Collecting and compiling data from management information systems, such as Maximo, and other computer-based reporting systems, and sources to analyze vehicle statistics, usage and fleet requirements; 5) Assisting Transportation Operations Specialist in establishing and tracking performance metrics to ensure quality products and services are delivered and recommend areas for efficiencies. **NOTE: Experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position.** Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR

OR
