You will serve as a COLLECTION PLANNER in the Requirements and Resources Directorate (J8), of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will support a team comprised of all-domain subject matter experts from across the Joint Force in the planning of integrated Joint Fires plans supporting command operations. You will provide the framework to prioritize ISR collection against priority, opportunity, and high-value dynamic targets. You will develop ISR collection options for the National Command Authority during steady-state, crisis action, and contingency planning. You will manage ISR collection support to theater integrated fires planning, to include attack coordination, target identification, and maneuver of ISR assets in the execution of integrated joint fires operations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Having expert knowledge of Joint Fires planning, policies, processes and procedures along with demonstrated experience in Joint Targeting Cycle planning, execution, and assessment; 2) Possessing expert knowledge of and experience with Joint Campaign, Contingency, and Crisis Action Planning processes and procedures and ability to develop and assess new policies, processes and procedures; 3) Negotiating effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations for command positions on extremely sensitive, highly classified and vitally important capabilities; 4) Planning, organizing, and leading others in comprehensive studies or projects and preparing accurate, technically sound recommendations; 5) Having advanced skills using Microsoft suite of office software and Sharepoint.
