Duties

Act as a liaison regarding manpower, personnel, and training matters to ensure effective and responsive relations. Develop and coordinate presentations for visitors to accurately reflect mission. Maintain control records of correspondence and action documents, including classified material. Manage the installation travel schedule ensuring appropriate coordination is received for scheduled travel, and periodic reviews are completed. Perform a wide variety of office management and administration duties.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The incumbent must be able to possess and maintain a valid state/government driver’s license.
  • This position requires occasional TDY.
  • This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure using Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Experience performing administrative duties to support various civilian personnel management programs and personnel functions; Experience utilizing modern office automation systems (hardware and software to include Microsoft Office); Experience preparing itineraries, reports, briefings, schedules, calendars, taskings, resource plans, support requests, training requests and associated budget activities, all forms of correspondence, messages, and statistical reports; and Experience assisting the coordination of high-ranking visitors from both the military and civilian communities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementCommunicationsCreative ThinkingManages and Organizes InformationProblem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
