About the Position: This position is located at Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Cavazos, TX. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Duties

Perform account maintenance tasks including reconciling accounts, reviewing financial data for discrepancies, and analyzing historical data. Make queries, retrieve information, analyze information; prepare charts/graphs/graphics for financial briefings and reports. Prepare financial documents, worksheets, and required reports using financial management and office automation systems. Enter nutritional financial data such as receipts, food items issued to the kitchen, price changes, and local purchases into inventory management system. Coordinate with Contracting and Resource Management Divisions to prepare or renew contracts. Utilize integrated federal financial management systems and sub-systems to extract data, identify and resolve system problems, and maintain data integrity.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• A pre-placement medical examination is required.
• Financial Management Certification, Level 1 is required.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated systems to produce financial reports, conducting inventories to reconcile discrepancies, and preparing requests for the purchase of equipment and/or goods. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
