You will serve as an Airspace Planner within the Joint Innovation and Experimentation Division of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

Duties

You will provide expertise in Airspace planning of full spectrum operations, manned and unmanned platform operations, kinetic and non-kinetic attacks, special munition considerations, and mitigation of risks. You will coordinate with subordinate joint forces, sub-unified commands, service components, and functional components to ensure contingency and crisis plans provide flexible Joint fires options in accordance with USINDOPACOM priorities. You will develop, direct, and implement Integrated Joint Fires Center (IJFC) future planning efforts to ensure requirements are met. You will provide technical advice and administrative guidance regarding policies, procedures, and problem resolution for Airspace activities.

• This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
• This Emergency-Essential position requires that the incumbent be removed from any military recall status.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working with subject matter experts from across the Joint Force in the planning of integrated Joint Fires plans supporting command operations; 2) Optimizing unity of effort through developing, publishing, and updating integrated Joint fires plans in alignment with the Commander's intent and priorities; 3) Coordinating with joint forces, sub-unified commands, service components, and functional components to ensure contingency and crisis planning provides support in accordance with combatant command priorities; 4) Implementing policies and providing guidance on integrated joint all-domain fires and associated intelligence support; 5) Utilizing targeting applications such as the Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT), the Modern Integrated Database (MIDB) and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS); and 6) Contributing to the development of a Joint Fires Network (JFN) to ensure future planning requirements are met.
