Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet either the education or experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration. To qualify for the GS-11 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-09 it must include: Experience with the investigation and adjudication of equal opportunity complaints AND experience analyzing facts, preparing technical reports, and conducting presentations as it relates to equal employment opportunity. Experience applying technical knowledge of EEO principles, laws, and regulations to complaint filings. To qualify for the GS-11 on Education alone, you must have: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. You can also qualify based on a combination of higher level graduate education and experience. This must be fully supported by your resume and transcripts, provided with your application. To qualify for the GS-12 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 it must include: Experience applying technical knowledge of EEO principles, laws, and regulations to complaint filings. Experience which includes reviewing and processing discrimination complaints in accordance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Experience preparing legal summaries, briefings, or memoranda, and conducting legal research. You cannot qualify on education at the GS-12 level; you must have experience. To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include: Experience applying technical knowledge of EEO principles, laws, and regulations to complaint filings. Experience preparing Final Agency Decisions based on current laws, regulations, and policies. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Labor Law - Knowledge of state and Federal employment laws, regulations, guidelines, and legal precedents related to hiring practices, equal employment opportunity, and wage and hour restrictions. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Legal, Government, and Jurisprudence - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, legal practices and documents, Government regulations, Executive orders, agency rules, Government organization and functions, and the democratic political process.
