About the Position: Serve as Maintenance Control Technician in the Maintenance Section of a major multipurpose hydroelectric power plant project that includes power generation, navigation locks, flood control, fish passage facilities, visitor centers, natural resources and recreation features, and other appurtenant elements at several locations.

Duties

You will utilize an automated maintenance control data system to provide system control, oversight, repair history, analysis, data entry, and documentation of current and future maintenance operations. You will utilizes the control system to issue and schedule routine and cyclic maintenance, repair and replacement of all equipment, machinery, etc. You will serve as technical advisor to the Chief of Maintenance on functions and data contained in the automated maintenance system, and administering the work order system that schedules and controls the activities of maintenance crews. You will serve as Project Advisor and Systems Administrator on the various functions and features of computer hardware/software and other related data maintenance matters.

GS-09 Qualifications Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing the repair/maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment common to hydroelectric dams, flood control, and/or fish passage waterway systems using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer ServiceFacilities Operations and MaintenanceFacilities/Production Management Technology Time in Grade Requirement for GS-09: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08).
