You will serve as a MEDICAL PLANS & OPERATIONS OFFICER in the Medical Directorate (N01H) of COMNAVSURFLANT.

Duties

You will review the critical military medical capabilities required to support the operational Surface Force, analyze policy, and monitor compliance and effectiveness of military operational medical support. You will process data to develop displays and standard/ad-hoc reports to support internal CNSL operations. You will interpret technical policy, procedures and regulations and provide subject matter and technical expertise and administrative advice and assistance as required to resolve problems and maintain continuity of work. You will serve as Commander Naval Surface Force Atlantic (CNSL) direct representative and operations officer for N01H directorate. You will serve as the N01H Deputy Assistant Chief of staff for operations, plans, and programs. You will participate in all significant policy decisions impacting the provision of medical care across the Surface Force.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Applying advance management/organizational principle and a wide range of quantitative, analytical, evaluative methods and techniques for programming, budgeting; assessment and improvement of complex medical processes and systems particularly in operational medial planning processes utilized in support of daily operations; Utilizing pertinent laws, regulations, policies, and precedents which affect the requirements, operations and administrations and administration of medical requirements, program deployment and assessment issues (fiscal management methods, practices, techniques, manpower, material, facilities and services); Conducting medical planning procedures, medical operations in the afloat environment and available sources of medical intelligence in order to assist the Chief Medical Officer (e.g., Force Surgeon), in developing, monitoring and executing medical policies as to providing expert input into policies at governing & legislative, (e.g., Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), United States Fleet Forces (USFF)/United States Pacific Fleet (USPACFLT) and Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV)), levels; Defining and developing medical requirements and processes in order to resource them; Planning, organizing, and directing complex team effort requiring application of advance analytical methods and exploitation of all available information systems; Determining the scope and extent of program requirements and identifying potential problems, adverse trends - identifying significant problems (both actual and potential).
