About the Position: This position is located at Army Medical Center Madigan, Quality Management. The employee will analyze issues in the assignment, select and apply accepted analytical techniques to the resolution of operational problems affecting the efficiency, effectiveness or productivity of the organization. Duties

The incumbent will conduct studies and make recommendations based on analytical findings for the improvement of evidence-based population health approaches to the delivery of healthcare. Maintain accurate information used to optimize healthcare delivery within the Military Health System (MHS) and TRICARE health delivery network. Perform population- based assessment of beneficiaries eligible for care and develop cost, population and workload data using national benchmark comparisons. Conduct health care management and staff studies and recommend improvements in overall health care operational practices. Collaborate with Clinical Informatic leaders and support staff. Prepare reports containing proposals, findings, analysis, and evaluation of data and recommendations for changes in procedures, practices, or organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation (NACI) (Tier 1).
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Health Care Manager, Public Administration with course work in health care administration. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
