The mission of the Office of Commercial Space Transportation is to ensure protection of the public, property, and the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States during commercial launch or reentry activities, and to encourage, facilitate, and promote U.S. commercial space transportation.

Duties

Serves as a Financial Management Analyst in the Office of Commercial Space Transportation, Business Operations Division (ASZ-100), Financial Services Branch (ASZ-110) and is a recognized subject matter expert in a specialized area and provides leadership for highly complex and challenging activities under minimal direction of a manager or executive. Plans, develops, monitors, and executes actions required to manage the office's financial resource functions, to include but not limited to: fiscal, travel, contract administration, management analysis, and procurement. May act as a specialist to develop new and innovated approaches, methodologies, and/or techniques or as a team leader to define and direct challenging projects/programs/activities.

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS:Demonstrated experience planning, developing, monitoring and executing actions required for financial or contract management.Experience with the planning or source selection stages of the procurement process to assist in the development of pre-award, post-award and contract close-out activities and artifacts.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
