You will serve as a Training Specialist (Inspections/Investigations) in the Training and Certification Division (IG80) of the Office of Naval Inspector General (NAVINSGEN) of OFFNAVINSGEN WASHINGTON DC. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will implement and oversee a Naval Inspector General (NAVIG) Learning Platform, the authoritative system for providing, tracking, and storing training and opportunities. You will administer and facilitate the NAVINSGEN Inspections and Investigations Training courses, to include planning, scheduling, logistics, and delivery the Mobile Training Team (MTT) for approximately 600 personnel. You will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and progress as it relates to the policy and training of the Inspectors and Investigators. You will provide teaching and training, guidance, and technical assistance to IGs DON-wide on the conduct of investigations, inquiries, inspections, and the preparation of Hotline Completion Reports. You will develop finished products, including lesson plans, course content, training texts, and computer assisted instruction in accordance with specific learning objectives. You will collect and report data to leadership regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the NAVINSGEN Training Program. You will consult with SMEs and obtain input from accrediting agencies, professional associations, and vendors. You will identify IG developmental and training needs and coordinate training opportunities with the appropriate agencies, vendors, and associations.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Evaluating training and education needs of an organization to effectively develop and execute training programs; 2) Designing course content and materials utilizing expert knowledge of instructional technology, implementation, and evaluation of instruction in instructor-led or e-Learning environments; 3) Identifying and applying appropriate models and teaching strategies (e.g., lectures, seminars, small group facilitation, programmed text, self-paced, multimedia supported) to execute training programs; 4) Developing program evaluation criteria to assess productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of an enterprise-wide training program; and 5) Resolving critical training problems and recommending improvements to ensure training readiness throughout an enterprise.
