This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel in the DoD workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: maintenance, repair and improvement to real property assets such as buildings, structures, utilities, roads, and grounds.

Duties

Plan for in-house maintenance, repairs, alterations, modifications, and small construction for installation facilities. Analyze work to be done and utilizing accepted trade practices, via an automated system, develops/prepares specifications and sketches. Meets with contractor on site, inspects work to determine if all conditions and specifications of the contract are met.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning in-house maintenance, repairs, alterations, modifications, and small construction for installation facilities; preparing specifications, and independent cost estimates for work to be accomplished through small contracts; and inspecting job sites while work is in process to observe whether work is accomplished according to plans and specification. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
