Duties

Perform surveillance, control and inspection of construction projects at all stages. Works with the contractor and using service, discusses plans and specifications and provisions of the contract. Gathers, consolidates and prepares material for progress reports and pay estimates. Provides technical guidance to other Inspectors/COR’s in the branch on the administration of contracts both construction and service.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must have a valid state drivers license.
  • Position requires a pre-employment physical.
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, as well as, the ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and stairs. Testing will include ability to stand, walk, crawl, stoop, and bend for long periods of time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityContracting SupportProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).

Education
