Duties

Develop program proposals and work plans. Coordinate with construction and operation personnel to assure accomplishment for maintenance improvement and additions. Develop concept plans for additional improvements and for further development. Oversee dam and spillway maintenance and repair. Serve as Project Maintenance Coordinator determining daily work assignments for subordinates.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen under the Army Drug Free Federal Workplace program. Incumbent must refrain from the use of illegal drugs and submit to drug testing when directed.
  • Position requires a current commercial driver's license.
  • Incumbent is required to maintain a current U.S. Government Motorboat Operator's license.
  • Incumbent may be required to operate equipment/machinery such as but not limited to a backhoe/front end loader, skid steer loader, 30 ton gantry crane, and other smaller miscellaneous equipment.
  • Incumbent may be required to periodically perform carpentry, plumbing, and mechanical work as necessary to complete project/program requirements.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience Requirement: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level which includes experience overseeing facility operations and maintenance; developing program plans and work plans; and preparing cost estimates. OR Education Requirement: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
