You will serve as a Deputy Director, Equal Employment Opportunity (DDEEO) for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) and Division Head for the Diversity and Inclusion Office, Code 10E within the Operations Department, Code 10.

Duties

You will manage the Affirmative Employment and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Management Directive 715 (MD-715) to establish and maintain effective programs for the command. You will work to deploy Diversity management initiatives that support all employees. You will manage the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Complaint process ensuring procedures are followed within the guidelines. You will manage and/ or utilize the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) program to resolve, reduce or eliminate workplace disputes. You will manage Special Emphasis Programs ensuring equal opportunity and eliminating discriminatory practices and policies. You will advise Leadership on all Equal Employment Opportunity matters and issues effecting the installation.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders.
