About the Position: Serve as Chief, Correspondence Branch with responsibility for managing and directing the work of Congressional Actions Coordinators and Senior Congressional Actions Coordinators engaged in the staffing, research, analysis, and formulation of official responses to executive written and telephonic requests from members of Congress, their staffs, and Congressional committees. The position is located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Duties

Analyze written correspondence and telephonic requests to determine pertinent issues. Provide specific guidance to subordinates, and agency organizations to ensure official responses are complete and accurate. Ensure official responses to congressional inquiries are aligned with agency policies. Meet with Congressional members and/or their staff to present, discuss, and articulate the Army's position, decision, or action. Manage the overall branch workload to ensure accountability through subordinate Senior Congressional Actions Coordinators. Assign, coordinate, review, and evaluate the work of branch personnel. Complete of performance evaluations, and award recommendations

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: PartneringTechnical CompetenceWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
