This position serves as a Program Analyst and assistant to the Director of the Office of Education and provides support in the development of new and existing educational programs which provide educators and students with tools, experiences, and opportunities to further their education and participation in unique USPTO learning experiences that enhance their knowledge of IP, innovation, and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Experience providing administrative and technical support in an organization in order to make recommendations for the overall effectiveness for program operations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Education may be substituted for experience under the following criteria.

GS-07

• Completed one full year of graduate education; Or
• Superior academic achievement.
• Possess a combination of graduate level education and specialized experience that together meet 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

GS-09

• Master's or equivalent graduate degree; Or
• 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; Or
• LL.B, LL.M., or J.D.,if related.

GS-11

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or
• 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or
• LL.M., if related
