About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, Rock Island Arsenal, IL

Duties

Execute and manage the full range of Fleet Management for leased and Army Owned vehicles. Screen trip itineraries to verify compliance with Defense Region (DTA4) contract, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Reconcile the Centrally Billed Accounts with submission to applicable payroll system for payment. Perform Government Passports Acceptance Agent duties to accepts Passport/VISA applications and administer oaths. Administer all functions of the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program. Responsible for the Acquisition and disposal of Fleet Vehicles, through the annual customer acquisition module. Perform the duties of the Government Purchase CardHolder (GPC) for the transportation division.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: 1. Analyze/interpret technical transportation requirements to perform a variety of assignments; 2. Monitor transportation and/or travel functions to resolve problems; 3. Process charge card applications to determine eligibility; AND 4. Brief stakeholders regarding a travel program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Successful completion of at least a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university. Major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.). OR Combination of Education and Experience: If you have some, but not all, of the experience or education described above, you may still qualify by combining the amount of creditable experience and education that you possess. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 18 hours (total semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify.
