Salary: $158 169 - 191 900 per year

You will serve as a Deputy Comptroller Aviation of NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on the development, implementation and revision of financial management policies, plans, and programs. You will generate, recommend, and implement new and revised financial management concepts, methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization’s programs. You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization. You will plan work, set priorities and schedule work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect effect on regular and recurring work.

  • This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Performing continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of major operating and support programs; 2) Generating new concepts and methodologies in the field or theorize, plan and direct entire financial or budgeting systems; 3) Applying budgetary/financial policies, practices and laws to ensure operations adhere to financial standards; 4) Submitting request to congressional or similar entities for appropriate reapportionments and rescissions; 5) Recommending solutions to resolve accounting, budget and financial management problems; 6) Implementing new and revised financial management concepts, internal controls, methodologies, policies, or strategies to achieve agency financial targets.
