**Supports Naval Base Kitsap Unaccompanied Housing** Incumbent is responsible for operating a professional housing facility, consistent with those services and amenities provided in commercial housing, while contributing to the highest level of mission readiness.

Duties

Works directly with management and Navy Contractors to ensure facilities are meeting requirements of DOD and Navy regulations. Incumbent provides the functions related to on-site building management. Performs inspections of vacant rooms and common areas daily checking for cleanliness and maintenance problems. Acts as an escort when Public Works or contractors require access to guestrooms. Initiates trouble calls and work requests for any maintenance problems. Performs minor maintenance actions (changing light bulbs, preventative maintenance on fire extinguishers, replace air filters, etc. Follows up on all corrective actions to ensure completion. Responsible for control of the furniture, fixtures, and equipment in their assigned buildings. Provides input for short- and long-range planning. Adheres to CNIC UH standardization of goals and participates in UH inspections. Ensures NAF personnel and procurement policies and procedures are followed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requires three years of documented work experience that demonstrates knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, regulations, and administration related to maintenance operations. Must understand the daily operation of a lodging operation to include safety, environmental and fire prevention regulations, and practices; and front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance operating principles and practices; and have a working knowledge of automated property management system(s) The incumbent must possess excellent communication skills and must possess fluent command of the English language, understand, and use proper grammar, and be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing. Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and various software programs, including knowledge of the property management system. Must possess basic math and reading skills along with the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Overall trade experience including, painting, electrical, plumbing, and electronic door lock system.
