About the Position: Dam is located within the North Santiam Canyon approximately 45 miles southeast of Salem, the state capital or Oregon. This position has a significant amount of interaction with dam safety, water management, and hydropower production interests (internal and external to the agency) in balancing planned work and demands on the facilities.

Duties

Serve as operations and maintenance manager at a multipurpose Corps of Engineers operation project. Perform management and technical work involving the overall maintenance of a dam, powerhouse, and fish facility located in the Willamette Valley Basin. Participate in the planning and future work of the projects including rehabilitation of systems and equipment. Represent the operations project manager at meetings to solve problems, exchange information, negotiate agreements and develop support for solutions. Plan, direct, and coordinate through subordinate supervisors the work of power plant shift operators, maintenance crew foremen, and activities of electrical, mechanical, structural and general maintenance personnel.
