About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserve Command, G-4 Maintenance Division, Maintenance Branch located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Serve as technical consultant to supervisor and the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 staff in connection with the solution of special problems related to maintenance management. Perform evaluations of Army Reserve (AR) maintenance units / AMSA and ECS activities within the US Army Reserve Command (USARC). Direct analyses of existing systems and render decisions pertinent to policies applicable to the Army Maintenance Management System. Coordinate maintenance management, such as special purpose vehicles, trucks, vans, weapons carriers, and major commodity classes including weapons, tanks, and aircraft, as well as quartermaster and chemical commodities. Complete technical review of reports prepared by maintenance representatives of Commodity Commands. Serve in the role of Contract Officer Representative for USARC G4 Maintenance Contract(s)

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
