Duties

You will Develop policy and support the Branch Chief in efforts to identify, negotiate, define and disseminate C4 policy directives as it relates to tactical C4 systems. You will facilitate discussion between marine corps leadership to further support IT processing You will provide constructive comments and recommendations on top-level acquisition plans to confirm consistency with strategic plans, and enforce corrections if necessary. You will provide guidance to supervisory section heads chiefs as they establish performance appraisal objectives for working level Branch personnel. You will Initiate/approve personnel actions for civilian team members, such as step increases, career ladder and accretion of duties promotions, and formal reassignments.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET-SCI security clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Information technology Management experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing Information, Command, Control, Communications and Computers (IC4) and IT capabilities that support the war fighting functions. You will oversee the development of policy and implementation of strategies, programs, and processes to pursue and achieve the Branches mission and objectives. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
