You will serve as a ELECTRONICS WORKER in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST MRO PRODUCTION DEPT PROD LINES DIV of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will use electronic equipment in order to recognize types and sizes of resistors, capacitors, wiring, and transistors. You will ensure work meets requirements by checking specifications in work orders, repair manuals, technical publication, IETMs, etc. you will be required to comply with all affected NA VAIR, FRC, and NAMP instructions pertaining to their specific area of work.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION Assisting and instructing machinist personnel to ensure proper methods and techniques are used when operating tools and equipment or conducting inspections. Planning, reviewing work in progress and when finished, to verify deadlines have been met. Providing guidance on experimental and prototype work to assist shop supervisor with production or technical problems; and Evaluating and interpreting measurements or results to determine acceptance or rejection of end product. Ability to work independently, make decisions, plan operations, show job responsibility, and exercise initiative. Performing machining operations at various stages of depot-level as production is inducted, processed and reworked.
