About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Work/Financial Management Branch, Office of the Director, Public Works, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Duties

Provides direction and guidance to subordinates responsible for planning, leading, executing, and integrating actions for the Headquarters, IMCOM G4, Public Works Directorate. Plans, conducts or participates in studies of DPW organizations to validate essential Business Operations processes performed, evaluates the preparation of DPW Annual Work Plans, and the establishment of sound reimbursable programs. Provides PW expertise in the development and review of complex resource modeling and productivity improvement initiatives. Serves as subject matter expert for functions concerning the financial and manpower resourcing of all DPW municipal services and real property facilities and supports DPW work/financial management operations as assigned to the branch.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes development and preparation of data analysis principles and work flow processes, engineering management systems, and the resource programming and allocation process; experience applying analytical techniques in the development and validation of financial requirements, to include manpower and contract program requirements; Investigating and applying work management efficiencies while exercising staff oversight over productivity improvement initiatives for all Engineer BOS and SRM services across all aspects of DPW Work/Financial management. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????13).
