About the Position: Fort Eisenhower is located near Augusta, Georgia, home of the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) and US Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER).

Duties

You will serve as a Director of Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) overseeing all phases of the organization's program and work. You will direct policy, program planning, and program execution for the directorate. You will direct all maintenance, supply, ammunition, food service, laundry, transportation, and property accountability, clothing, and other related logistical activities. You will coordinate and oversee the operations performed by contractors. You will attend formal/informal conferences with members of directorate and special staff on matters involving policy and planning for current or projected operation. You will execute administrative and personnel management responsibilities such as reviewing work, hiring process, development of performance standards, identify training needs, advise and counsel employees, and resolve complaints/grievances. You will oversee a workforce comprised of both in-house and contractor personnel performing various logistical functions. You will direct the fiscal management of operations. You will direct the formulation and management of the directorate operating budget based upon knowledge of operating programs, programmed expenditures, operating costs, etc.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to possess (or obtain) and maintain a valid Secret security clearance.
  • This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
  • In a "Key" position, you must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
  • This is a "Mission Essential" position. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster), you will be required to report to work or remain at work to support mission operations.
  • Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is used to assist agencies and employees to avoid conflicts between duties and financial interest. This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless you have previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • A one year supervisory probationary period is required to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties unless you have previously met this requirement.
