You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST (ANTITERRORISM) in the Protection Management & Planning, Force Protection Division of NAVBASE GUAM FORCE PROTECTION.

Duties

You will interpret policy and guidance, determine potential impact on the organization and develop short and long range plans to ensure compliance with legislation, governing instructions, policies and standards. You will ensure the integration and protection of critical assets, restricted areas, mission essential vulnerable assets, tenant commands, shipboard and other installation units and activities are in compliance. You will Oversee the implementation of Antiterrorism, Force Protection, and Physical Security planning at the Installation level. You will plan, prioritize, schedule, and assign work to be accomplished by subordinates and will identify developmental and training needs of employees and provide and/or arrange for needed training. You will serve as the technical expert in a wide variety of duties related to planning, development, management, and direction of all aspects of the program.

  • This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
  • You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and implementing Antiterrorism, Force Protection, and Physical Security policy, doctrine, and training programs and ensuring the integration and protection of critical assets are in compliance (e.g. restricted areas, mission essential assets, tenant commands, shipboard and other installation units and activities); AND planning, prioritizing scheduling and assigning work to be accomplished by subordinates.
