About the position: This position will be assigned to the Mission's End Collocated Club on Whiteman AFB. This position is considered flexible. You are guaranteed 0 hours, however could work up to 40 hours per week. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible to earn annual leave or sign up for benefits. Employee will be eligible for the use of the fitness center, golf course, bowling center, club, swimming pools and other activities.

Duties

Sells a variety of merchandise items such as prepackaged snacks, candy, etc. Operates cash register, rings up the sale, receives money, makes change, processes credit card sales, sells pool passes, and books parties. At the end of each shift clears the cash register, turns over cash and supporting documents as instructed. Conducts daily inventories. Maintains area in clean and orderly condition. In a Food Activity: Performs check-out duties such as ringing up food, beverages and merchandise by individual item; totaling sales; processing credit card sales; receiving money; and making change. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and making change when receiving payments from customers. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier one background investigation.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
