About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Duties

Receives telephone calls and visitors, ascertains nature of call or visit, refers to supervisor or staff member as appropriate. Maintains employee's record cards, time and attendance cards, and labor and production for personnel within the activity. Arranges travel for Staff Directorate including scheduling transportation, making motel/hotel reservations. Types correspondence, reports, and other material in final form from rough draft, notes, or oral instructions. Maintains official files regarding employees pay. Reviews correspondence for proper spelling, punctuation, formatting, grammar, and compliance with administrative and office policy. Inventories and monitors supply usage and requisitions when supplies are low or when specific items are needed that is not stocked. Solicit employees and analyzes training needs and requirements to ensure training is accomplished.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 5 percent of the time.
  • Must be a qualified typist.
  • This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Appointment to this position does not confer competitive status.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe One Year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1. Usage of automation system and software to accomplish work (i.e. ATAAPS, GFEBS, DCPS, DCPDS, DTS, GEARS, DPMA, AutoNOA, Microsoft Office, Excel, and/or ADP system input) 2. Maintain phone calls and visitors referring to supervisory or staff member as appropriate. 3. Oversees DTS Administrative duties to assure documentation is submitted appropriately for travel arrangements and divisions annual travel is submitted and prioritized. 4. Manages government travel card (GTC) program ensuring vouchers are paid and in good standing. 5. Inventory office supplies and equipment to maintain a full stock office. Validates invoices for GPC purchases and administrative processing in GFEBS.
