The Supply Technician performs basic and routine tasks in support of a professional, technical, or specialized occupation under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced employee. Assists managers and other employees in day-to-day operations.

Duties

Accomplishes inventory management activities required to support operating and F&E programs/projects using assigned items. Performs general supply clerical duties that require basic knowledge of Federal regulations or procedures. The employee performs work in the management, regulation, and control of supplies material for establishing proper level and flow of supplies by means of requirement determination. Participates in the development of budget estimates and manages material within the authorized funds to acquire/repair assigned items. Determines item quantities for purchase/repair; initiates action to obtain required quantities, considering available assets, projects availability of repairable and recovery factors.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Successful completion of security investigation may be required.

Qualifications

To qualify at the FV-E (FG/GS 7/8) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-D (FG/GS-3-6) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes experience in supply support work such as receiving, storing, issuing, inventory and shipping orders, researching and updating automated inventory systems.
