About the Position: This position is located in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, Real Estate Division.

Duties

Responsible for managing the efficient and effective accomplishment of the planning and execution of major projects in support of the Coastal Texas and Sabine to Galveston Project Mega Projects. Providing guidance as needed for real estate analyses prepared for proposed and authorized studies, acquisitions, and condemnation projects. Plans, directs, controls, and reviews the work of employees and other Corps Offices engaged in the acquisition of real property, utility relocations and relocation of persons displaced in connection with projects. Ensures that individual project objectives, milestones and budgets are accomplished within the overall program objectives. Prepares fact sheets, issue papers and decision documents as necessary. Provides training and guidance to staff as appropriate. Provides advice, direction, and review for the planning, coordination and development of real estate data and technical investigations.

Requirements

  • Duties require travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
