About the Position: This position is located at the U S Army MSCoE, Chemical School on Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Serve as the advisor to the Chief, CIID and Deputy Commandant in the United States Army Chemical School (USACMLS) on both technical and administrative matters of a variety of substantive staff actions and assignments. Provide integration of staff actions to facilitate effective management of subordinate elements. Ensure effective communication, coordination and follow-up actions with subordinate elements, and higher headquarters. Create and maintain tasker spreadsheet, routing, and closeout status. Review and analyze incoming staff actions and decision correspondence. Analyze and evaluate priority of actions based on the sensitivity of the subject matter, suspense dates and other pertinent data. Develop and maintain the CIID long-range calendar. Forecast potential requirements, de-conflict problems, and plan and project time for historically recurring requirements. Responsible for coordinating with other elements of the Command Group and HQ staff and installation points of contact in scheduling and coordinating all visits, meetings, and itineraries. Act as a Defense Travel System Routing Official as part of the approval process for travel authorizations and vouchers. Ensure 80% of the monthly and yearly reviews are submitted on time. Develop the Annual Risk Assessment and Five-Year Internal Control Evaluation Plan. Compile the TRADOC mandated Monthly RMIC 10% review Memorandums. Prepare all RMIC documents for the Assessable Unit Administrator's signature.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementBudget AdministrationManages and Organizes InformationOral Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
